Overview

Balancing Strategic Vision and Day-to-Day Operations in a Diversified Services Agency

Navigating Change in a Dynamic Landscape

In the dynamic landscape of the loyalty business, where I am based, my role as Chief Operating Officer is anything but stagnant. Loyalty campaigns are evolving, competition is intensifying, clients’ needs are changing, and naturally, our company, team, projects, and vision are also undergoing transformation.

Finding Balance Like a Juggler

In this ever-changing environment, I constantly strive to maintain balance, much like a juggler 😊. I enjoy this challenge because it requires a specific set of skills to succeed. I often rely on instinct when making decisions. While instinct-based decision-making may not always be the most cautious approach, it can be highly efficient once a proven method that yields meaningful, positive results is in place. It seems I am fortunate to possess the right skills for what I do—or perhaps I have simply found the right job that aligns with my abilities. Our company is steadily improving across all segments, a fact of which I am particularly proud.

Innovation Through Custom Tools and Market Solutions

At our company, we develop our own tools for campaign management, which has proven more efficient than searching for ready-made solutions on the market. However, we also utilize readily available tools when they suit our needs, such as Slack, Asana, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office. We are now in the process of implementing an ERP system. (At this point, I can’t help but notice how much money we send to U.S.-based companies—is the EU really lacking in innovation?) These efforts are all aimed at creating stronger foundations to make our services and products more reliable, efficient, and competitive, ultimately preparing us for larger-scale projects than we currently handle.

Aligning Strategic Vision with Daily Operations

Strategic vision is crucial, but it must coexist with day-to-day operations. These two elements should not disrupt each other; instead, they should enhance one another to reach their full potential. When we do something well and achieve the desired result, we can then envision improvements, set new procedures, identify missing talent, update our tools, and repeat the cycle. The juggling continues 😉, the game is enjoyable, and we remain committed to playing it.
